Brothers Unlimited, from Jane and Finch to Washington DC

(VIDEO)
In Canada it is easy for young black men to feel like they don't belong in University. It is easy for young black men to feel out of place in post secondary institutions where they are the minority...this is not the case in the United States and precisely why these 10 young black males were brought to Washington DC.

Brothers Unlimited is a mentoring program based in Toronto Canada geared at providing black male high school students with the tools needed to succeed. Created by Patrick Knight, principal of one Toronto's largest high schools and located in one of Canada's most high risk communities, Mr. Knight understands the importance of a program such as Brothers Unlimited. In this clip, Mr. Knight accompanied by Jermain Holness,Ivor Tony and a.k.a. SUBLIMINAL take these 10 young men to Washington DC in hopes that they will be inspired by seeing other black professionals as well as College students who are going on to pursue their dreams in a post secondary education. The ultimate goal; to inspire these students, show them that they do belong in College / University and help turn these young boys into MEN.
