Robotics for the Younger Set
Kids 6-9
Utilizes the LEGO® Education WeDo® robotics set to teach young
students how to build fun models and then program them to move. Students are
introduced to motors and sensors, which are built into models that are then
connected to a computer to be programmed using a simple programming tool.
Students build models of machines and animals, program actions and behaviors,
and investigate how machines work.Kids 10+
Integrates practical applications of computer science, math, fundamental physics, engineering, and writing into a rich and challenging course. The curriculum includes materials designed by the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy and the NASA Robotics Educator Program designed to foster mathematical and engineering competency as well as technological and scientific literacy. We will utilize the LEGO MINDSTORMS® products for this class.
Robotics II
Kids 10+
This class is a continuation of Robotics I. Students explore additional robotics concepts and implement concepts taught in Robotics I. We will utilize the LEGO MINDSTORMS products for this class.
