ISRAELITE TEEN TALK - Topic: Defining Your Identity

  1. Hi Teen Talk,

Just wanted to tell you what a great job you guys are doing on Teen Talk. We just listened to your show on Identity and loved listening to each of your viewpoints on Identity. You also spurred such an important discussion on how our children should identify themselves when explaining who they are to others. Should they call themselves, black, Canadian, African American, Israel, etc. This discussion was very thought provoking. I like the format of the discussion because it gives the adults a look into the thought process of the younger generation. Helps us to understand you a little better. Alicia is a great moderator and keeps the discussion going and keeps the guests stimulated with her questions. I especially like the way Israel is incorporated throughout the discussion. Keep up the good work!!!

  2. Teen Talk is awesome! Rachel and I have listened to a few of the previous broadcasts together on the nations site and the conversations not only allow us to talk and discuss Rachel's experiences being an Israelite teen but the content is very relatable for her being the only Israelite girl teen in the entire state of Georgia.

All the hosts do an excellent job and you should make Asha a regular on the show.

  3. Donna, you are so right. The shows definitely sparked some spirited conversations with our girls and they are not even teens yet. A few times Miriam had us stop the video to ask questions as well as to share her experiences on the Identity topic. She really appreciated the way all of the girls shared their experiences and it definitely made it relatable to her because she recognized a couple of the girls on screen.

The debate amongst the girls definitely kept her interest, provoked some really good questions and for that I thank our Israelite Teens for doing such an amazing job.
